Spring 2006 First Adults International Tournament

 

  TASFACA is proud to say that after their visit to Europe looking for contacts they got already their first European team to visit Tampa.  During the week of 24-30 of May we had great International Futsal action in Florida. The games were played in two divisions, Tampa and Bonita Springs.  The events were organized by the Tampa Soccer and Futsal Academy and the Bonita Springs Soccer and Futsal Club under supervision of the Florida Futsal and Soccer Association member of the original World Futsal organization the AMF and the US COURT SOCCER FEDERATION.

 Wednesday May 24 1st Round Division in Tampa at M. L. King Gymnasium  

4 teams played each other:

 Brasileiros Futsal Players Club, Olimpico Futsal from St. Petersburg

 MixNMatch Futsal from Tampa and Holland ValkUSA from Europe

  Bonita Springs Mexico,  Selecion Bonita Colombia, Paraguay Miami Futsal

FRIDAY MAY 26  Second round and finals at MLKING Gymnasium Tampa Brasileiros Futsal Players Club got the first place by beating Holland ValkUSA 6-4 The Dutch team was leading at Half time 3-0 but the Brazilian players came back and scored 6 times in the second half.

SATURDAY 27 OUTDOOR 5 V 5 AT TASFACA New Home with Barbeque for the Holland visitors Holland played VS Paraguay Miami in very exciting game on the outdoor fields of the new Home of the Tampa soccer and Futsal Academy. result 1-1 tie.

SUNDAY May 28  Holland visited Bonita Springs against Paraguay Miami and Futsal Mexico.

Results  Mexico beats Holland 4-3 Holland was leading 3-0 in the first half. The Mexicans came back in the second half surprising the Dutch with 3 goals in the first 3 minutes of play in the second half and the 4th goal in the last minute with 35 seconds to go. This was the most exciting game of the whole tournament we can say.

The actual program for the week of May 24 till May 28 was locally televised for the Bonita Springs area.  Bonita Springs is promoting the AMF Futsal very aggressively in the Fort Meyers area and they are getting good feed back from the City authorities.
